Re: injectors and starter?

Injectors depend on motor (TPI or TBI) starter like $80 for a factory remmaned piece. If you were going to pay a shop to do them thats a different story though.

Re: injectors and starter?

have to be more specific with the whole "fix" thing... anywhere from $10-$9,000 sounds about right for fixed

what is the real problem with the car and what IS this mystery car?

Re: injectors and starter?

Cant ever go by what the seller says. Injectors are like 200 since its a z its got to have the TPI if its injected. So i would say in total about $300 for parts plus labor if you paid a shop to do it. Although granted thats just what the seller says is wrong with it. Which although could be true may not be true as well. To me i wouldnt concern yourself with prices to fix as you dont even know whats really wrong with it yet. It may end up being way simpler or way worse. Just plan on having at least $500-$1000 set aside to get her back up to road worth state. If you dont have at least $500-$1000 sitting around you could throw at it just pass on it. It may seem like a lot but just watch and see what happens lol. Cars are a money pit. And when you concider things like a good tune up, brakes, tires, things of that nature can easily run over $500 depending on what you need and thats not even fixing the car that's just maintenece stuff.

Re: injectors and starter?

Well if this isnt something you plan on needing right away it could certanly make a nice project for you. On the other hand it could be a death sentence buying a car that's not running as the motor may be shot or a bad transmission. If your prepared to accept these risks and the cars cheap enough to make the work worth while then its something that you may want to consider. But be prepared to get a basket case while hoping for the best. How many miles are on it/asking price?

Re: injectors and starter?

Yea its not a bad price and at just under 100k isnt too bad either. The one thing ide do is check the oils and trans fluid to make sure they look good. Its not much of a test but at least its something i guess. Beyond that your taking your chances but if you have a ok job, 2 years time, and willing to put in some hard work it could shine again.

Re: injectors and starter?

i say, its your car, you choice. i got a stock spoiler, everybody thinks i added it, and laugh, hahaha. i dont care. but think about the bad a$$ project youll have. and the girls you make out with in the back while youre waiting on the license. Then you tell them your going to put a supercharger it and paint her red. get 18inch wheels. (girls like that kinda BS talk). considering your bill is already 700 bucks, you must text hella bitches. when i was your age 8 years ago. id talk on the phone for hours, my record was 8 hours. Get a prepaid phone, or get cricket, unlimited texting. and you'll always have this board to back you up through the years of sweet building of the beast. it took me three years to get my lady in white rolling, and its been running like a champ. gets all the girls at college, all the 18-30 year old ladies-oh yeah....you have fun. IF i was 14, id do hella things different. get the car dude, theres always help here. and What 5 grand anyways. thats cheap. youll be able to paint, get her tuned, brakes, whatever the problem is and still get the girls. and its TPI so in high school's auto shop, you can be like oh yeah TPI. people will be like, "whats that", you'll say, " faster car in town, i just beat a RUSTang at the track last weekend".and that hot girl would be hella jocking.
