Wont kick over

I will be aquiring a 1991 Firebird with the 3.1 V6 and it has one issue that I have been trying to troubleshoot.

It is having issues kicking over. Its getting spark and fuel. It was given a fresh tune-up with new cap, rotor, wires and plugs and before the tune up, it worked great. Ever since the work was done, it hasnt kicked over at all. When you turn the key, you can hear the fuel pump priming the system. Then when you turn the key, it will keep cranking but wont start.

Any ideas would be of great help. Thank you.

Btw, I am from Washington State (Okanogan County to be specific) if anyone wants to know.

Normal I presume. When we took a plug out to check them, they did have gas on them. How would one measure this?

They are the right plugs. But just in case, I might get new ones all the way around and not the "AC Delco" brand. What are some good recommendations for spark plugs? Nkg? Autolite? Bosch?

Go back through all the tune-up parts that were replaced.Make sure everything is secured and the firing order is correct.

I am next time I am home. I am a long haul truck driver so I dont get home as often as I should. But anyways, next time I am back home, I am gonna get all new wires, plugs, rotor and cap. Plus I may rent a code reader for it to see if that helps

Paperclip will read the codes. Look at the tech FAQ articles on main page.

No better plug for these cars than a plain jane AC/Delco!
