which head bolts to seal?

Does anyone know exactly which head bolts go into the water jackets on the small block 350? I have the 87 one peice rear main but Im shure that makes no differance. I useally just seal everyone but this time I have brand new AFR heads and ARP bolts and I want to do it perfect.

Humm so all of them go into water jackets? I ask because ARP says to seal the ones that go in water jackets and use the provided lube on the blind holes.

With stock blocks almost ALL of them go into water except for possibly one or two on the upper side of the block deck, but those are unpredictable.
Seal them all.

They told you that in case you were running a non-stock block.

Re: which head bolts to seal?

There are about 3 or 4 that don't go into a water jacket. It's best to just seal them all.
