Re: BEST IGNITION SYSTEM

I'm using a MSD 6-ALN along with a pro-billet dizzy and blaster 2 coil. It's basically bullet-proof and the rev limiter is great.

Re: BEST IGNITION SYSTEM

I've got the Digital E-curve distributor from them with a Blaster SS coil. No problems at all. The nice thing about the E curve is having the adjustable rev limiter built in and chainging the curve by just adjusting dials.

Simple: MSD 8362 ready-to-run large cap HEI. $130 from Summit.

More complicated: MSD8361 small cap vacuum/mechanical advance distributor, 8207 Blaster SS coil, 6A box.

Did you mean 8362 for the HEI?

This one is nice as well, but a bit more expensive: 8365

I might have gone with your latter suggestion if I had to do it over since it's easier to use a separate coil.

I prefer the square type, can mount in anywhere, less susceptible to heat when mounted away from the intake manifold.

Rev limiter is of limited value (no pun intended) on the street. Save $30 and get the 6A box.

Re: BEST IGNITION SYSTEM

My setup, expensive, but worth it to me. Can't wait to get it all installed.

My cars plans: Drift (mainly), Drag, Street, Auto-X, Gymkhana etc. EVERYTHING OUT THERE, so I want as much adjustability and tuneability as possible, in which I won't get into what I want for my suspension. This towards the need for a rev limiter as questioned by the previous poster.

Ignition: #6420
Coil: #8226
Distributor: #8366
Spark Plug Wire Set: #31839 (ACDelco Rapidfire Spark Plugs)
Harness: #8876
Alternator: #5111
Kit: #5158
Pulley: #5190
Starter: #5095

P.S. Take that old school guys and your Mallory only for my Camaro BS...haha. J/K
