Re: loosing battery power

when you shut the car off next time, open the back hatch and see if the fuel pump keeps running, if it stops next try starting the car the disconnecting the positive terminal of the battery and see if the car shuts off if it does you have a bad alternator, sometimes the stock radios draw too much power, the starter wires could be rubbed raw and draing the battery

Re: loosing battery power

then you should get under the car and listen for the pump, just check all the wiring to the starter for cuts, burn marks, or freying. if the starter is functioning normally i would just replace the wiring if its bad

i've seen replacement electronic Holley fuel pumps at autozone. if i get one of those to replace the one i have (IF it's bad) would that give me more power?

Re: loosing battery power

no, because your throttle body would just send the excess right back to the tank

Re: loosing battery power

i'm not noticing any chugging or over-accessive use of fuel lately. are you sure that the fuel pump could be a factor even if it seems to be behaving normally?

Re: loosing battery power

connect a volt/ohm meter inline with one battery cable and check for a draw with the engine off. you need .5 amps or less
