Runnin' strong, then...
Runnin' strong, then...
Uh oh.
Took my '90 out for a spring check ride. A buddy and I were gonna make a trip to a sporting goods store about 70 miles away. Was running like a top all the way there until I made a turn at a stop light and... nothing. Fuel guage was showing 1/8 of a tank +/- and luckily it stalled right at a gas station. Coasted in, filled up... would fire for maybe 2 seconds then shut off. Repeated that a few times until it wouldn't fire at all.
Sounds like a fuel pump or clogged filter to me. Ideas?
Car is a 90 RS 305 TBI, btw.

Have you tried the fuel pump relay?
There are two identical relays on driver side firewall - mark one closest to fender, then swap them and see if it cranks. If so, then you need a new relay - the other relay is for the fan, so don't overheat between there and the parts store.
