cruise control problem

I just had my flexplate replaced on my car, while the tranny was out I replaced the speedo cable because it was broken. I was so happy to finally have cruise control back. But it's acting up. When I set it it works fine for a minute, then it will bog down, almost like theres a strong headwind hitting the car, it will sort of pause like that for a second then resume normal driving. It does this over and over as I drive. I don't know what could be causing this, anyone got any ideas?

The car in question is a 1998 Camaro Irocz 350 tpi auto. I appreciate any help, thanks.

Re: cruise control problem

Would I find it like any other vaccum leak? A can of starter fluid? I checked the lines that I could see everything looked connected.
