Re: Fixing a sending unit
My 88 GTA had a bad sending unit. I was able to repair it, because the reason it had failed was due to excessive deposits that had built up on the 'wiper' assembly.
You need to have good hands and patience. It helps to have experience working with delicate parts.
I carefully disassembled the wiper assembly, soaked everything in brake cleaner, and then gently cleaned the wiper surface and the contacts.

Re: Fixing a sending unit
Is replacing the sending unit a easy job? Is there anything I sould know?
Mine is leaking, and if its a easy replace, I can do it myself. Just wanted to know how to do it. Thanks for any help!
