Lemon Problem.........

Bought another 84 Firebird and at this point really wishing I hadn't, it had been worked on by three shadetree mechanics before I got it with no luck on their part, car turned over fine but had no spark, had the ignition module tested and found out it was fried completely, replaced it along with plug wires plugs rotor and cap , now there is spark.
Still no fuel though, found the fuel relay wasnt getting power which I traced to no ground from the ECM, checked three ground wires on the ECM no ground on any of them, replaced ground wires, still no fuel relay replaced ECM now fuel relay is working fine , no SES light and no codes, replaced ignition switch and then had SES light but still no codes other than 34 and of coarse 12 (replaced map sensor twice no change), the injector is not getting a signal from the ECM ,if I pour gas down the throttle body it will act like its trying to start somewhat but its more of a half start as if never makes more than a few chugs, any ideas? I'm completely out.

Oh and so everyone can get a good laugh its the 2.5 engine lol

Re: Lemon Problem.........

Sounds like you have some major electrical problems. To be honest, its probably not worth messing with if it has this many electrical issues. If you content, you can try to spend a while trying to get it all to work, but its only worth it if your willing. Personally, I would just get a carb'd 350 and drop it in. But my opinion isnt fact. Trust me, you can spend a fortune on electrical issues, so dont just start replacing things. Get your multimeter and have at it.

How is the wiring harness for the engine and chassis, are they really hacked up or corroded (as if it was underwater at one point) ?

Re: Lemon Problem.........

Its in good shape never really been hacked on ,and no corrosion that I can find anywhere, which is why I was pretty confused to find all 3 ground wires dead

Re: Lemon Problem.........

You said you checked the fuel pump relay. Did you check the pump? If it tries to start by dumping fuel in the throttle body, you might take a look at the pump or the filter.
