86 2.8 into 3.1

Engine: 3.1lt,5.7tpi,3.1mpfi
Transmission: auto,auto
Axle/Gears: 273?277
86 2.8 into 3.1
Here is the deal.I've got an 86 body and can't find a 2.8 to go in it anywhere close by.I can get a 3.1 with all the harness computer and everything.will this work with the insterment panel and stuff like that if I use the harness that comes with the 3.1.I get a tranny in the deal to.

well I could be mistaken, but I think the only difference between the two is the bore of the block... everything is the same... I think even the harness is the same... you should look in the v6 forum...
