ok i just tore down my engine today and figured out i need a rebuild i heard rumors from a few friends of the person that sold me the car that the motor was a 305 so since it was torn down i decided to pull the codes off the block and heads and from what i gathered its a 1979 170hp 350 out of an f or b body chevrolet and i havent found anything on the heads well here are the numbers maybe someone can help me tell me if im right or point me in the right direction im debating on whether or not to keep the engine as i found a 5.3 ls motor for cheap im debating on picking up ok so heres the numbers:
3970010 back of block driver side
2 numbers on the front of the block pass: side 19L510882 AND T0914DRH
and the numbers i got off the heads are:471513 same number both sides
