Click,click,click then start.
Ok,every once in awhile, when I turn the key,it will click, like its a bad starter or solenoid, but after 5-10 clicks it will start.I changed the starter, which came with a new solenoid, and it still does it.I have an idea of where to go from here(ignition swich, bad ground)the battery is less than a year old,Im thinking if it was the batt, the car wouldnt start period. What do you guys think.

Re: Click,click,click then start.
THs same thing was happening to my backup car where it would click and stuff but wouldnt start. The thing is the battery had just been replaced less than a year ago. Then one day we borrowed our neighbors battery charger and let it sit for a half hour or so. When we came back we unhooked the cables got in and tried to start it. When we tried the car made a sound like it was tying to start but it wasnt a clicking and after about 5 seconds it started right up. So if I were you I would try that. I think you can get a charger for about 30-50 dollars at walmart or some place like that. I dont gurantee my advice will work so follow at your own risk.

Read this thread, it should have evey possible solution for you problem. my problem turned out to be a bad wire from the solenoid to the NSS and it was the same exact symptoms. goodluck

I had a similar problem at one time. Turned out to be a bad ground connection to the battery.

It sounds a lot like a loose or dirty electrical connection to me. First, check your battery terminals and cable ends. Make sure they are clean and tight. Then check the connections at the other ends of the battery cables. If it's a bad connection, it will likely be in those areas.
