new distributor timing trouble
i tok out my old distributor and installed my new one after finding TDC and placing the rotor correctly . the car runs but the timing is extremly advanced way past the tab. when i bring the timing back to the tab it stalls. i rebuilt the carb after insalling the distributor . why wont it time properly

Are you correcting for the vacuum advance? Are you sure you didn't get it 1 tooth off?
