Anyone tried these on GM?

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...m-Change-Tools I don't see why we couldn't use these on our gm heads? Wouldn't have to take lower intake off our cars.

I don't see why you couldn't make these yourself to try out. All thread, wing nut, heat shrink and some neodymium magnets. Sure suck if one let loose.

Re: Anyone tried these on GM?

For the time it takes to rig these things to each lifter you could have the
intake off the motor already! Air tools make disassembly real quick!

Re: Anyone tried these on GM?

Id be a little leery of using those. If one of the lifters falls, youll be pulling the pan as well to get it back.

Re: Anyone tried these on GM?

that goes to show how people are getting lazy to do things the right way, if your changing a non rollor cam you should chage the lifters aswell, just freakin to lazy to pull an easy intake........you really want to use ford tools on a chevy?............

Re: Anyone tried these on GM?

Basically, I just want to put in a computer compatible cam for now. I do most of my driving around town and like the low end torque that our car's have.LOL I don't like getting left behind in traffic, but if I stomp it WOT that is a whole other story, as most of us know.

Re: Anyone tried these on GM?

Why, I have worked on Ford 5.0 motors before and if i can recall they have a spider plate and dogbones holding down the roller lifters too.

Why the hell do you need to use air tools? Are you REALLY that lazy you can't turn a simple wrench?

No, not lazy. If I can save a few hours work. Why not. I would pay $50 for that

Re: Anyone tried these on GM?

In addition to the spide and dog bones, on the LTs you'd also have the stud shaft issue. I don't see a work-around to those.
