rebuilt the dissy and tried to set the engine at tdc before i installed it. Dont know how the car ran before, i got it not running. Anyways, it will start with pumping the gas pedal but runs really rough for a few seconds and then dies. There is no throttle response but pumping the throttle keeps it at idle. Its an 87 model.

 

okay the timing was way off. Still have no clue what it is at but i got it running pretty good. It does however idle better with the maf unplugged. The throttle is very sentive now or the tach is off. cause i can barely touch the throttle and it will jump up to about 3500. any thoughts?

 

you may have a bad maf sensor
