GTA died on main road... What's wrong?
So I was cruising over to a buddies house when my GTA started to lose mad power, then all of a sudden the rpm's dipped down to 100 then she spit and died, so I managed to keep it rolling and pull into a turning lane.
So I got her home and started checking it out.
Decided that it was most likely the ignition module so I pulled my MSD dist and threw the stocker back in. Still no spark, then I thought why the hell didnt I test the coil first, so I replaced the MSD Blaster 2 with the stock. And tried to fire her up, and she spit and wanted to start, but my plugs were gapped at .050 so she wouldn't hold a spark.
So then yesterday I replaced the MSD Coil with another and got her home and put it on, and switched out distributors. Still no fire, so I put the engine to TDC and reset the dist, still no fire, a little backfire sometimes but no fire.
Does anyone have any idea what is possibly wrong? I may try throwing the stock dist back in because I think the MSD Ignition Module is gone to hell.
But any input would be great!

i wonder if the fuel pump would have anything to do with this?

I say check basics first. Wires for shorts, amke sure they are all securely on plugs and cap, check fuel pressure, make sure pump is running, check injectors for firing, etc.

check your FP
Most probable check for spark.. if no spark check the Coil, control module & pick up coil

Oh sorry forgot to mention that it has prime fuel pressure, you can smell the fuel in the cylinders. I just put a new coil in and all the basics have been checked. I am just not getting spark.

Sorta forgot to mention my modifications I guess if you guys are interested:
-Ported TPIS Big Mouth
-Siamesed SLP Runners
-Siamesed Plenum
-SLP Air Foil
-SLP CAI
-Luca 24ln Injectors
-TPIS AFPR
-Hooker 2460 Headers
-Custom 2.5" Ypipe
-3" Exhaust w/ Dynomax Muffler
-MSD Distributor
-MSD Blaster 2 Coil
-MSD 8.5mm Wires
-MSD 6AL w/ Harness
-Accel Shorty Copper Spark Plugs
Now, the fuel pump primes, the injectors are opening (I think because the stench of fuel is strong).
I went to change the MSD Ignition Module to my stocker but it's soldered in, so I just changed distributors entirely, still no spark, then threw in the stock coil; and she was spitting a little, but I figured eh the coil went bad and the stock one doesn't have enough power to produce a spark large enough for my 0.045 gapping.
So I got a warranty exchange on another MSD Coil, threw it in and at the same time I put the MSD Dist. in too (now I know I should have thrown the coil on and seen if she ran with the stock dist. but I didnt). So now the car still wont fire. So I think that it is the ignition module too in the MSD Dist. So i'm gonna to swap out distributors again and try it.
Then hopefully I can get a warranty exchange on a new distributor as well.
Oh, forgot to mention that I also set the engine to TDC and placed the distributor in and it didn't make a difference, so the engine is timed.
It's raining now, but when I get a chance i'll definitely throw my stock dist. in and see if she fires.
But until then, any ideas will be greatly accepted.

Re: GTA died on main road... What's wrong?
Update
Threw the stock dist in, which i'm sure has a good ignition module because it ran when it was pulled.
And no sign of it even wanting to start up.
Coils good, Dist is good, plugs are good, plug wires are good.
Is there something that is cutting my spark? Possibly a bad ecm ground?
