1989 camaro rs and ZZ4 350?

Does this work? I want to put the GM performance ZZ4 350 in my 89 RS and don't know if this will work. Can some let me know please? I also want to throw a T56 on my car and need advice to get the right conversion kit and such. I am looking on Summits site and have seen some parts and such, but can someone give me advice?

ZZ4 is a 350, any 350 will install. There's a ton of T56 swap info in the tranny section.

Ok, Thanks. I am rather new at the motor types and such. Do I need any special motor mounts or is it all set and ready to install on the old mount locations?

Should all bolt in - nothing special about a ZZ4 block, it just has nice heads and cam for power.

Re: 1989 camaro rs and ZZ4 350?

The thing you should ask yourself is if you plan to keep a TBI or go Carb. If you keep your TBI you will need to spend some time tuning in the combo as well as a bigger TBI unit, injectors, etc. It can get more technical to do so.

I do plan to go Carb. I want to put a Holley on it, but I don't really know much there either. Which model and type should I use. I plan to use it as a weekender with power that can still be used in the street. I don't plan to pull to much out of it but want strong car for now. The inspection laws here are pretty strict so I don't have too much room to mess around but yet more than I feel. I was thinking a Holley 750 dp, would that work guys? Is it reliable?
