Engine Problem !!!!

Car: 1988 Camaro Sport Coupe
Engine: 305 Non Computer Edlebrok Carb
Transmission: Turbo 350
Axle/Gears: Original ones that came with car
Engine Problem !!!!

Was driving home from work and noticed that the car felt like it had alot less power, it has developed a popping from the carb now, there is also a tapping noise coming from somwhere at the top end any help would be appreciated thanks!!

I'd start by checking the oil. Make sure it's not low and there is no metal debris.

A screwdriver can be used to listen to various areas to help locate the source of the noise.

Pulling the valve covers might be an easy way to take a look around if you're sure it's coming from the top end.

What fireturd said. Look for a pulled out exhaust rocker stud or backed off nut.
