406 not making what it should.
Ok i have a 406 with
stock crank
forged 6inch rods
forged icon pistons
195cc afr heads
comp cams 274XR full roller everything
1.5 rockers
holley strip dominator manifold
and 750 holley carb.
headers prolly to small but are 1 5/8 to 2.5 to Y into 3inch back
has th350 full manual valve body, with 2500 stall
what do you guys think it should be its rwhp and at the crank.
let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

elaborate on not making what it should?
Exhaust is small for one thing... needs a 3.5-4" single catback.
xr274r solid roller? 236/242 cam? Is that the one you have?

sry guys i haven't been on in a while. compression is around 10.2, timing i believe is around 33. the dyno shop set the timing good i forgot to ask final. it is the solid roller cam. the one thing the shop said was maybe too small cam but i don't think so. she makes 318 rwhp and 326rwtq. i was thinkin it should be more around 360 or so maybe close to 400 but didnt happen.

I would have to say need bigger exhuast.1 3/4 headers and duals or BIG single. also that many cubic inches will mild down the cam. Could use a step or two bigger cam.

Re: 406 not making what it should.
Youd pick up a whole gang of torque with a good dual plane like a performer RPM.
Thats a good cam on a 406...even with a 1-5/8 header you should be close to 400rwq Id guess..
33 on timing....initial or total, doesnt sound right.
Think you need to go back to some tuning recheck the curve and when it comes in.

If you want to turn 6300 rpm peak, you will need alot more cam and could use more head.
