Re: clogged injector cleaning?

Do you have fuel pressure? I would guess the pump would be bad after sitting for 6 years.

I have heard that some shops run Seafoam in their pressurized injector cleaners.

Go to Rockauto.com and look up your injectors. Then you can hit the "info" button and it will tell the make, model, and year of cars that part number fits. Those will be your donors.

Re: clogged injector cleaning?

lots and lots of fuel pressure, almost like a garden hose when i take the line off. The tank was dropped when the car was painted and a walbro was installed. today was actually the first day the walbro has ever been submerged. The injectors on the other hand are caked with varnish. damn thing ran on 2 cylinders too! its unbelievable.

I might be buying new bigger injectors later if i cant get these to work. I dont have much money now, so for now Its a must i get these to work.

Your best bet is to have your injectors professionally cleaned & evaluated, way cheaper than buying new, much better than trying to clean them yourself (fail).

Re: clogged injector cleaning?

Seafoam is a great product, we sell it. But in a case like this, 6 years?? honestly i wouldn't bother using a fuel injector cleeaner. Even if it does work and your injectors open up, you are not going to be able to evaluate the result...ie spray pattern, leaks, etc. I agree with xch3no2, you should have them professionally cleaned, flowtested, and evaluated by any one of us, and then you can take it from there.
We will be more than happy to check them out for you.
