Easy Question
I'm starting to take out my engine today. Its an lb9. I was just curious, when I unplug the fuel injectors does each connector need to be labeled so I don't plug in a connector to a wrong injector when I hook everything back up later? Thanks

Re: Easy Question
I was thinking every injector fired at once so it wouldn't make a difference. Oh well, it's not a big deal. I was just curious.

Re: Easy Question
Doesn't matter
The way the engine harness is laid out the worst you can do is swap 2 injector plugs on the same bank which would have no effect because all 4 in the bank fire at once
Re: Easy Question
ok im not a tpi guy but i would assume that they cant all fire on the same bank at the EXACT SAME TIME... bc all the pistons on that bank are not on the same stroke at the same point at the same time and the injectors should fire similar to the ignition

Re: Easy Question
The difference between batch fire and sequential? no i cant remember the other one. Well anyway batchfire is one entire bank at a time so its not as efficient as each individually.

gotta admit never heard of batch fire.... seems very very counter effective... so lb9 is batch fire?

Re: Easy Question
Things are happening so fast in the engine that an injector can fire even if it's not at 'exactly' the right time and the fuel charge will get sucked in 'in the blink of an eye'. Or even faster. It's too late to do the math but you could calculate the time between firings and see the max time the fuel would need to wait. Maybe the sequential system just isn't worth the extra effort (and cost?) unless everything else is perfect.
