Top end?

My car can put down a 1.59 60 foot time but only runs 11.90 or so. There's quite a few cars I run against that don't have anywhere near the short time I have but make it up on the last 1/8th mile of the track and some even run mid 11's. Any suggestions on where I need to go to get some more top end? Carb jetting maybe?

What are your revs over the finish line?
Maybe your combo peaks too early and is flat lining?
Engine specs ?

Re: Top end?

The revs at the finish are about 6200. shift light set at 6000. The motor is a 350 vortec roller motor bored 30 over. The heads are RHS Vortecs with 170 cc runners with some comp cams roller rockers. The cam is Comp cams with 520 intake and 540 exhaust lift and 236 intake and 242 exhaust duration at .050. It has a cingle plane summit intake with a Holley 750 HP Series carb atop. The rearend is a Moser 12 bolt with a 4:11 gear. The tires are 28 x 11.5 hoosier quick time pros. The peaking and flat lining is probably correct. I was considering jetting the carb up 4 sizes to see if it helped. I've attached a link to a pic of the time slip from last wednesday night races. I'm in the right lane. You have to click on the image to get it to zoom to a viewable size.
