Another TBI idle Problem, Coming to a stop and high idle...
Hey guys I have a 92 Camaro Rs I just totally restored, engine is a fresh rebuild with everything going in new. I just have a question, I got everything running, it is timed at about 6 degrees and have everything plugged in. (all vacuum hoses no leaks,). The problem is when i'm coming to a stop, the engine remains at a high idle, about 1250 rpm, to almost 1500. I dont think it is the normal throttle body sticking, because it doesnt happen when the car is parked, but I am wondering what might it be.
Any information or tricks would help.
Thanks

Mine is when it is warming up and when I come down to idling. I also have some pretty high oil pressure according to the gauge, around 45 psi?

Did you make sure the EST was unplugged when you set your timing. 6° base is a little too much for these cars. It isn't required with the swirl ports and can cost you driveability. I would check the timing, set it to base 0 and go from there. Might be a good time to check TPS voltage as well.

I am not getting any codes or anything, just a weird bit on the idling coming down and a fluxuation on start up, Nothing horribly bad but it is annoying on a new engine.. I am going to check these things out here in a bit, I am at work today and will check it when I get off.

Have you found a solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem still. Maybe it's my IAC??
