Striker fell out, can't close door.. tap plate down in 1/4 panel

you should be able to retrieve the striker plate from the speaker well I would think.
means taking a few things out first but I'm sure you should be able to do it.
How did it get installed in the first place?

Try taking the door jamb vent out first and try a magnet on a string, just one screw I would thing easier than dropping the speaker. If you can't get the phillips screw out, then yes, you should be able to get it from the speaker hole with the speaker removed.

Alright, thanks I'll try that tomorrow.. worst case scenario I might just try to weld the striker in, it'd at least be a permanent fix but I'd worry about being off with my measurements with it
