blue smoke while running

Today, I gave my camaro a muuchh needed tuneup (all plugs were caked with black crap, tips were burnt off, wires came apart while replacing them, etc).

New dist cap, rotor, wires, and plugs.

Engine sounds soooo much better, but now a new problem has arisen after doing this tuneup.

Blue smoke coming from the exhaust (and it burns your eyes too). Not just during startup, but while running. I can't tell if it's oil burning, or if the car is running wayy too rich. Engine doesn't seem to be missing anymore like it was. Oil pressure is fine. I've read that blue smoke could mean that oil is burning and leaking through rings/seals, but I should've saw that before I did this tuneup. I don't know what to make of it. Any ideas? 305 motor

Re: blue smoke while running

oil makes smoke blue, but where its leaking i couldnt tell you, i can tell you when my dad first gave me my carb 85 305 maro, i did a tune up and when i got on the throttle blue smoke would come out, i did a compression check and it was a little low because its likely rings are bad, im also dumping a little fuel. id take out each plug individually and compression check them. if that holds no answers get some of the dye and a black light and see if you can find anyslight leak outside the block that may point you towards its location
