fuel pressure problems

fuel pressure problems

i have a fuel pressure guage on the shrader valve and when i turn the key on it goes to 45 psi then the fuel pump kicks off the pressure goes to 0 and you can hear the gas return to the fuel cell. is this a regulator problem?


this is a 283 i built on an engine test stand with and 86 tpi maf setup and painless wiring harness. please any help would be great.

Most likely a regulator problem, yes.

i replaced the regulator and it sill does it.


the main problem i am having is 1 and 8 wont fire. i have checked everything got spark, fuel and compression. new distributer new injectors checked valve train while engine was running and all valves are going up and down, its like its not getting the fuel. but niod light works and injectors work on all other cylinders.
