Blowen Head Gasket aftermath...Help

I recently blew my gasket and i am having everything replace and head resurfaced and most important for me is to have everything good and clean. My oil is dirty with antifreeze right now so when i change it i think some of the oil/anitfreeze is going to stay in my engine and on my parts. My question is whats the best way to clean everything GOOD i was thinking of Sea Foam. Help please

Re: Blowen Head Gasket aftermath...Help

I usually dab up any that I can get to when it's apart. I've even went as far as using a shop vac with a small hose to suck it up. I then flushed it out with some cheap crap oil [SuperTech from Walmart]. I poured 2 quarts and let it drain back out, that help get some of the extra foam out that was in the pan. Make sure the head gasket surface is clean before putting gaskets on. It's also a great time to do your valve steam seals as they eventually leak anyways.

If you're super worried about it you could get it warm and do an oil change immediately after it's done, but I usually don't worry about it.

SeaForm will definitely clean everything, but you'll need to change oil immediately I don't like running to long with that in oil and I usually use 1/3rd of a can in the gas, intake, and oil.
