3 years sitting
Hi all, I have an 89' T/A 350TPI with a 6-speed conversion that has been sitting for 3 years and am now trying to fix her up and get her running again. Could I get some guidance as to where to start? The reason I parked it was because it started power surging while idling and would die and then refuse to start back up after a certain amount of time. It also would occasionally not turnover from a cold start despite a fully charged battery. The last code it threw was a code 42 and was told to check my O2 sensor and HEI the location of either I don't know. Thanks.

Code 42, as best as I can tell, would either be an issue with knock sensor, the electronic spark control module, or other ignition related components. Wouldn't have anything to do with o2.

It started, it's puffing out tons of blue smoke but it started god dammit. Now what do I do so I don't ruin it?
