engine wont work on cars that requires EGR?

I want to buy the budget stomper from jegs to replace my 305 in my 84 camaro but it says that the engine requires EGR idk what that means and if I have on the car or not can anyone help me out ?

I searched Jegs, and found several versions. You failed to specify which one.
I don't like any version, but that's beside the point.
EGR is Exhaust gas Recirculation. It's an emissions control, that can help MPG, and does not hurt performance. But it also does not help performance.
With the cam that they're using in that stomper, you're gonna get some built-in EGR anyway. But the cam won't pass any emissions test in any car that requires EGR.
Your car was built with EGR.
