Laugh at me, but Im stumped or im just getting old and lazy. My Iroc started acting weird, check engine light flickering on and off, and engine stumbling at the same time as Im driving down the road. I pull it in the driveway and pop the hood and notice this.

The connector seems as if it melted, possibly due to being loose. I see one part of this branches off to the hood light, the other part I dont know and am looking for a little help. This is on the firewall Pass side, you can see the heater box in the pic for reference.


So, what is this and what is it for?

Looks like the +12V power for the blower motor and other HVAC items if I recall. Probably a short somewhere if it melted out of the connector.
