Possible beginning to a build?
Possible beginning to a build?
Finally at a point where incomes steady enough to give the Vehicle some T.L.C. 92 Firebird 305 TBI =/ yes I know...Just stumbled upon a coworker selling a 72 350 out of a Vette, already bored .30 over. the set up I was wanting would either be a 383 or 400 TPI with the FIRST TPI intake..would that setup be possible with this block? if so with what heads? If not what kinda work am I looking at if I go with a Carb setup? any info/ insight is appreciated.

Tons of info here on the carb swap.
As I read, the older 350 blocks not as good to make into a 383 as the newer (1987+) roller blocks are.
Please note ... EVERY 350 for sale came out of a Corvette - that means nothing at all - there has never been, in the history of mankind, a seller with anything Chevy" that didn't tell everyone that it came out of a Corvette. What - we are to believe that GM made 185,987,653,675,912 corvettes? Get real! Then get the block casting number to determine what it is exactly before you buy it - GM made 350's in the 1970's that had as little as 145hp stock - might be worse junk than you already own!
