Fuel Vent Leak
Fuel Vent Leak
Hey--I just bought my first Camaro (so bear with me, Ive always been a chevy truck girl) and what seems to be the fuel vent--its a plastic piece hanging down in front of the rear end housing, is leaking fuel pretty steady. Ive called the chevy dealership and they list a replacement vent but its been discountinued and they cant get it. Ive looked on ebay, all the parts stores...no luck. Is there another place to buy one or am I just goin to go junk yard crawling and get one off a car there?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Fuel Vent Leak
Same problem checked dealership, autozone, napa, advanced... I am sure someone here has a source site or a homemade way to get around it, just have not found it myself yet

The problem won't be the vent, most likely the lines are not connected correctly. There are four lines to the tank: feed, return, CCP, and vent.
If the return and vent are reversed it will leak fuel. As the return is below the fuel level in the tank.
While the true vent and CCP lines are at the very top of the tank.
This is unless the tank has been overfilled, which is not easy to do as an air space is built in.
