worded perfectly, i want to fall under the category of "smart idiot" instead of just buying a camaro with no sentimental value just because it has a 350 that wont be able to take me aound town without putting gas everytime.

Re: Senior Project Camaro{Completed}
Yup, and the the V6 can be fast(always remember that) It took me about 9 years before I finally had the chance to mod my engine like I did.
And the benifits are so great, a total blast to drive arround town or anywhere. It feels nice to drive arround knowing that I can compete with the other cars on the highway.
Gas mileage is so nice on a V6, I get the same MPG as anyother V6 thirdgen, untill I floor it, which is hard not to do.....

Re: Senior Project Camaro{Completed}
LOL fun cars for sure. The handling on these V6's are so good for being a early 1990's car. Probly helps that the V6's weights less and is more twards the center of the car then a V8
Its good to hear your having a fun time in the cammy!

Dizzy is the item that all of your spark plugs wires are attatched to. Take a light and look for oil behind it. There is a little valley in the block next to the dizzy that will have oil in it if your o-ring is leaking. You can miss it just look arround the dizzy.

ok so, on the way to autozone, the bottom radiator hose connected tot the engine popped off and emptied my antifreeze :/ luckily i had my tools, a jack, and radiator fluid, idk how it popped off but its on now luckily, i also put some of that stuff in it (rear main seal fluid) so it should be good, now time to go cruising on this hot summer day lol, deuces./

I thought of useing some velcro, just a little square of it. That would be cool come racing season.
Im using tunerpro Rt, its some tuning software. I can watch, record, and make tuning to the ECM on the car. Also theres a Air Fuel Ratio guage thats mounted under the dash. The green numbers that are flashing.

Re: Senior Project Camaro{Completed}
Any car can benifit from a tuned chip! And its a great investment as the hardware will work with all obd1 (all thirdgens). So if you ever get another car a V8 camaro or whatever, as long as it has a onboard diagnostic system It will work. Its not too exspencive. I just like that I can change basically anything that the car does. Fueling, spark, speed limits, the launch mode, the fan on/off temp, and many more things that will help the car get better MPG's, better power, and if you do mods to the motor you can get the most out of the mod.

Re: Senior Project Camaro{Completed}
The time it took to learn the stuff took some time as im still a newbe at tuning but I can definitly work on the non-turboed 3.1L bin(stock)files. I was getting really good at that, but the turboed car now is a little more difficult to tune as the hardest part is tunning for Wide Open Throttle.

And it would also be nice if you got this cable, so you could go drive your car, record the data and then you could message me a file on what the car was doing(in a file) Its not as hard as you think as Id be the one interpreting the data and then Id send you a chip that youd put back in the car.
http://aldlcables.com/sc/details.asp?item=aldlobd1u
But if you could only afford so much then youd atleast need the first link that i put on here, but i could only tune so much as I need to be able to see the info, via, the aldl cable to get the best tune possible. And I could definitly get you better MPG overall. After tuning mine i saw a 8Mpg difference, which is alot these days on such a old car.

if you ever want to really mod the car, or are keeping it for a bit. Get the 2nd link. The ALDL cable. Then you can hook your lap top up to it. It is about 50 bucks i think. Well worth the $

yea, its been decided that im NOT EVER going to sell the car, just mod it and work on it till the engine is done, but my engine will last.
i will try to start on ordering it. my CAI gets here on the 3rd so im waiting impatiently haha.
Ok i also forgot to mention this, lately while im in 2 and 3rd around like 3000 RPMS my clutch seems to make a weird sound, like a loud ZZZZZZZ untill i get to higher RPMS or shift, is something in my tranny or did it break?
