Oil Cap dont fit on new valve covers

So here is a dumb question.

Building an L98 got cheap chrome valve covers and the stock oil cap dont fit. The new valve covers do not have the notch where the tabs would fit in then turn.

Anyone run across this before? Where can I get a generic oil cap that will work?

The size is about teh same as stock minus the tabs...

Thanks

maybe you should post a picture. Is the cover designed for a screw in style cap and you have one that is twist to lock ?

Re: Oil Cap dont fit on new valve covers

cheap chrome valve covers
Sounds like you got what you paid for... and even less.

Take em back, put the stock ones back on. At least they keep the oil in.
