Re: hellp
Is your question where to find new vacuum lines?
IMO, DONT go with the same hard lines that were on the car (im not sure if these are what your talking about or the soft, flexible lines, or both) but the soft lines are better IMO. Theyre more flexible of course, and they wont get so brittle like the hard ones, that way you can work AROUND them. I learned this the hard way. 3 of my hard lines broke when i was just plugging in a sensor on my camaro. I hate those kind.
As for where to find new soft lines, Home Depot, Lowes, pretty much any hardware store im sure. I know Advance Auto will have some, i just went there yesterday for some. They sell it by the foot, and its pretty cheap stuff, and i know theres never enough spare vac lines for me lol, so just buy more than what you'll need so you'll have a little extra, again, wer talking about a few dollars of a difference here. And its always a good idea to check your other vac lines for splits, cracks, ect, so now youll have enough leftover to replace them!
If you want the original kind, my guess is only a junkyard, i dont know of anywhere that sells that kind.
And again, IMO, unless you plan to really build up your car and are able to fine tune a carb, i would just stick with the TPI. Im more of a carb man myself, but you would have alot more invested in the carb setup than you would the TPI setup just to get the same amount of power (and you already have the TPI setup!) Just build it up. Again, just my opinion. I have an '81 trans am (carbed of course) and an 88 Iroc-z with the 350TPI (like yours), and i would stick with the TPI and just build it up. Again, just my 2cents tho.

Hmmm - carb swap to get out of replacing some vacuum lines - you'll need carb, intake, distributor, fuel pump replaced/regulated, tcc lockup etc and tons of nickel & dime stuff and tuning. Probably into the thousands $$, a long time off the road and worse mpg, rather than the few bucks for the vac hose.

Try a search - here's a few to start with:

Sounds like you've got a bit of a mess to deal with! What caused the fire?
