Power steering bracket help

Trying to put my accesories back together, and I have no clue how to put my power steering pump brackets back together (fail) I have searched, but the pictures weren't available anymore. If someone has a project apart right now, it would be awesome to post a picture of how the brackets are set up. (A/C has been removed) Thanks in advance

Re: Power steering bracket help

well a/c and non a/c have different bracket setups for the p/s

so...

you gotta make sure you have all the correct pieces for one or the other only

or no worky

and also if it doesnt have stock exh manifolds it will mess up things as well since lower front bracket bolts to front exh manifold bolt on the older sbc engines for example and there were a couple different ones of this bracket as well, some were stud attached to this bracket type and other had welded on nut on it for a bolt to hold pump bracket to it with said bolt

and then starting in '85 there was the combo of small/narrow early serpentine and v belt both on same engine

but the p/s stayed v-belt on this, until 87

so 85 and 86 were oddball half and half

so that makes it fun too

your best bet is to snag whole setup off a complete engine

for with or without a/c

and for correct year style that yours is

or youre probably gonna be scratching head alot and for a long time here

Re: Power steering bracket help

Thanks for all the info guys. My mind must've played a trick on me because I could've swore I seen a serpentine belt in one of those pictures, but clearly I didn't lol. My 84 had A/c but it no longer does now, So maybe I can find a setup from a junkyard that was non ac. I will be running long tubes as well, but I was thinking about just trying to use a stud for one of the bolts just like it was before

Re: Power steering bracket help

This helped me too!
Is the smaller bottom bracket neccessary? I'm installing headers and have deleted my AC and want to simplify the bracket arrangement so its easier to work on and cleaner.
