Ok so I just finished up doing the headers an put an new radiator in I hooked everything up put the belt on an then started it. When I had the belt on it made crazy knocking noises so I thought it was a spun bearing I then took the belt off an started it there were no loud knocks but didn't sound right. Another thing to is that the motor does not have any oil pressure just stays right on 0 where do I start now to figure this out

 

Spin each accessory (alt, p/s pump, ect) by hand, to see whats making noise.
Chech the oil pressure sender wiring, might be above the oil filter, you could have bumbed it loose while putting in the headers.

 

Yea I sPun each accessory an found out that it was the ac delete pulley the bearing must be worn out so I'm replacing that today all other pulleys are fine, for the oil pressure did they put a sensor at the top as well under the distributor ????

 

on Pontiacs its above the oil filter on the driver side

 

Yea I unplug The oil pressure switch an plug it in until it clipped in I then started it up an saw that oil pressure built up to just under 30 psi another thing when I give it gas it is really hez it does climb through the rpm but very barely I do have a ses light on so I'll try to see what codes come up where is the aldl located on the 88 did they put it in a diff spot or is it in the same as the 89 under the dash right by the radio bezel, I do also have a set of r45ts spark plugs that im gonna change out an see if that changes anything what is te spark gap I gotta set te plug to

 

New update so I had code 14 low voltage to the cts I changed it out last night I'm gonna attempt to start it an see if it will run better also I think there were some other codes bit I'll check an see
