BurnOut And Snow Issues.

Alright so here is the 1st part to this thread

I tried to do a burn out yesterday just to see if my car had the power but this is what happened: i revvd it to 4k- 4.5k? and then released the clutch on 1st gear and all it did was kik a little in the clutch. so i dont think my v6 has the power for it :/ unless im in dirt or something. or am i just doing it all wrong??

and second. how can i increase my cars performance in snow other then getting tires?? because for the simplest snow and black ice its like my car has no wheels :0 it is horrible

any comments or suggestion plz, wont get mad so you can call me a idiot for burning out, its your opinion. thxs

3.1 should spin. I had an auto that i got for a steal and it would do a pegleg burnout. (gsx) your 305 should deff do one lol. I had a 83 that had a 3050 and before the engine swap it would do a good burnout, it was slow as hell but it would still do a smokey.

Re: BurnOut And Snow Issues.

Our cars are like sleds when it comes to snow, they only slide. I drove once in the snow only because it was my only car at the time and it sucked but was also fun at the same time. Try keeping it in as high of a gear as you can to keep the RPM's down that way your not throwing so much power to the wheels. Best case, find a winter beater.

Re: BurnOut And Snow Issues.

I just put two new tires, Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s, on the rear, and it made a big difference in the snow. I am also going to buy a few sand tubes from Menards and throw them where my T-tops would sit in the back. They are 70-75 pounds of weight and are only 10-20 bucks.

About the burn outs, I can spin my tire pretty good if I hold the brakes a bit, and I have a carbureted v6 that was rated at 107 HP and 140 torque. Holding the brakes may be hard to do with a manual, but I think your car could manage it. Try doing a right turn when you want to spin the tires.

Re: BurnOut And Snow Issues.

Bout to say my 2.8 smokes the tires off pretty easily if I must say so, although mine is a 93 and out of a truck but still a 2.8. And these cars are fun in the snow lol

My buddy chirped 3rd in his pegleg 2.8... Don't ask me how, but he left the marks on the street to prove it.
