Engine Stalling in neutral.
I have a 1992 RS Camaro that has had the stock engine swapped with a 350 chevy and edelbrock carb and manifold. It has had the issue of running high idle for 20 seconds and stalling a few seconds after it goes to low idle. Things I have done in hopes of finding the issue
- changed fuel filter
- changed spark plugs and plug wires (first start up after, it ran longer but finally died.)
- unplugged and clear fuel lines which did spit gas during crank.
- cleaned and rebuilt carb
- adjusted idle mixture screws (cleared up the white smoke out of tailpipes)
- pulled out ecm fuse once running to cancel out any electronic related problem
Things I have come down to believe the problem could be
- ignition timing
- fuel pressure
- electric choke..? I don't see why it would be.
If anyone has any advice or ideas of what the issue could be, let me know. It's been two weeks and I'd love to get the stalling issue fixed so I can feel confident I'm not wasting my time with the body work.

Re: Engine Stalling in neutral.
Check your timing, base should be 6-10*,reving it up (it should advance to high 30s) adding the vacuum into it, should add another 10-15*, make sure the advance works.
I'd check carefully for vacuum leaks, plug off the vacuum hoses that are not essential (for testing purposes) & see ifv anything changes.
Sounds like a lean surge, might want to check the fuel pressure, float level, & engine vacuum. Is the egr valve still part of the system?

Forgot to mention that I have checked the floats and set them to factory specs, they were way off. If.there is an egr, I can't find it. Any assistance with where to look would be appreciated.

No egr valve. I have found the intake gasket was done pretty horrible. Going to replace it and hopefully that will cure the chances of being a vacuum leak. Not really confident thats the case but worth a shot.
