Ok, so had some earlier problems with my car. 88 gta 5.7 tpi btw. pretty sure came down to the mad but still have yet to get it fixed because of funds but just yesterday night I came home, no problems all day, but pull in and put it in reverse. All of a sudden I start to lose all electrical power and it does. Can't start it up. Nothing. It'll start and crank over but it dies a second after. Tried again a little bit ago hoping its fine. Still does it. Cranks over, and just dies. Doesn't seem to have and power now either.. Maf maybe go completely out? Alternator? Battery?

Is it cranking strong & just not starting? I'd check fuel pressure & spark.

 

When I try to start it, it cranks over and tries to start. It has the initial start rev up but it just dies right after that. I can hear the starter wind up and hear it fire up but then nothing. I have the digital dash and half the dash won't light up either. When I get the first rev, I try to push the gas it doesn't do much but a light bog and die
