IAC & TPS Questions
I read the procedure to adjust the IAC and the TPS but if I buy news ones do they need to be adjusted out of the box?

Re: IAC & TPS Questions
When I replaced my TPS and IAC on my 91 Firebird the only thing I did was take it for a 20 minute drive around town between 35 and 45 MPH to have the ECM relearn the IAC settings. Been running great since.

Re: IAC & TPS Questions
Yes, you still have to set both the minimum idle air RPM as well a the TPS voltage when you replace the TPS.
The IAC motor will "learn" A/C load and other conditions over time. It might take a while for the idle speed to be exactly correct under all conditions even after you do the adjustments.
