rebuild kit question

i found a full master rebuild kit online a guy is selling along with alot of other 350 parts including a block and a set of heads. well the kit comes with all the bearings, new sealed power pistons, new oil pump, new timing chain kit, 16 new lifters, but he doesnt have all the gaskets, only the little ones, hes missing the big ones like head, intake, oil pan, ect. well my question is, is this kit worth $100? i cant use the lifters since my block takes a roller cam but can i use everything else on my 96 block?

Re: rebuild kit question

Wait, so what exactly does the kit come with? Bearing, pistons, oil pump, timing chain kit, lifters, and some gaskets?

It sounds like a good price to me, although I'm not a professional when it comes to this. Since you're buying it from another guy, is it all new/unused?

I saw your thread on your car. This kit is going into the 5.7 vortech, right?

Also, is all of what he has in this kit, did it all originally come as a kit or is pieced together? If it came as a whole kit then what's the kit called, part number would be great. If it's all from separate purchases, do you know the part numbers of the rest or maybe brand?

Yea. Looks like it's a good price. I'm not sure of the quality, could be good or bad. I have a concern with the piston though. Do the specs on these pistons match what you're replacing? If you're not trying to match what you have, then make sure the compression height of the pistons matches and the dish CCs gives you ideal compression.
