Cant pump gas in

The problem is on my 89 IROC TPI 305. I got the pump replaced a while back the first pump went out got it replaced again and when i got the car back the gas gauge did not work it reads full all the time. I let the car sit for a couple months the car ran fine and I was able to pump gas in fine. Two weeks ago it ran out of gas then I was only able to pump in three gallons now I cant even pump one gallon in, it will just spill it out after that and the gas tank is not full.

I know you say it is not full, but it sure sounds like it. Have you tried to put a hose in the tank and try to siphon some out?

(Based on empirical evidence of the tank overflowing...) Either the tank is full or you have an obstruction in there. My bet is that it's full and that your pump may have stopped working. Jump the wires to your fuel pump to see if it primes or if you can hear it fire up.
