Is My Cam Too Big?

How's it going guys, this is my first thread here

Long story short i'm rebuilding a 350 sbc (L83) and am thinking about putting a new head/cam combo on, however somebody told me my cam was waaay too large for street use. I'm not looking for anything crazy, just looking for a cam that will idle fine and drive decently around town, with enough power at 5500 rpm to do something. I'll just list my setup and you guys can tell me how stupid I am

350-
64cc Large Valve Heads
10.2 Static compression, 8.23 Dynamic compression
1.6 Roller Rockers
CFI With Ported Runners
Lunati Barebones 280 Cam (272/280 dur. with 112/107 LSA)

Not even close. That cam is really small!

Re: Is My Cam Too Big?

See, and that's what other were saying too. People were saying it should work fine with the stock converter, thoughts? I believe it's at 1200 stall, as it was replaced with a converter that says 7d on the side and DG5F and I can't find too much else about it, so i'm assuming it's a stock-like converter.
