took the car out.. more problems
well, did another tune up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ect ect hoping to fix the previous problem. no luck, so im back on here. at idle engine runs decent, idles ok. when you throw it in gear and the rpms drop it acts like it wants to stall, and shakes bad. doesn't sound like a misfire. when you take off, between 1.5-3.5k rpms seems to be really sluggish, no ***** what so ever. it use to chirp the tires with ease, now u cant even make that happen, any ideas on whats going on. its a 86 iroc with a 305tpi.

Injectors perhaps? Also, verify fuel pressure is 35-40 at idle and 40-45 on throttle snap. Check MAF signal voltage. Should be about 4.5v key on engine off, about 1.6v at warm idle, about 4.5v at wide open throttle 4,500rpm under load. If MAF voltage won't go over 4v, you likely need to clean or replace the MAF sensor. Check your air inlet and filter for restrictions.

Fuel pressure was excellent. I have a gutted air box, no restrictions theres. I'll check the maf voltage out though.

Have you ever had the injectors out for service? If they are original, they are suspect in any power loss issue. Consider pulling them and sending them in to an injector service shop. They will clean and flow them, test the coils under load for any issues.
