Re: Fuel pump this or that?
Why?
What have you done to your 305 to need bigger injectors?
What makes you think you will burn it out on a 305?
Both those pump are no name ; you get what you pay for
and given the trouble needed to replace the pump in a 3rd Gen ( if you don''t cut a trapdoor ), I would be looking at a better quality that may last longer

Re: Fuel pump this or that?
As vetteoz just asked, why did you install bigger injectors? Unless you've made modifications to the motor that significantly increase air flow, the larger injectors are just going to flood the motor with fuel.

Do yourself a favor and do a LOT of research before you start buying parts. You'll save a TON of money. Look into doing a full headers back exhaust before you do anything else.

Until you make serious changes in your engine for it to be able to make use of more air or fuel you will only spend money bogging it down. It needs to be able to breathe more before you go shoving fuel down it's throat

FYI: here is the place to get your fuel pump, when yours dies. Order it now if you want but no need to put it in until yours goes out.

Re: Fuel pump this or that?
Most of the parts that will make power from a 350, will also work on your 305. The 305 just has to spin faster to make the power. Also, the 1/4" smaller bore(3.75 vs 4.00) is a restriction to max power capability. The main point is, power begins inside the motor, not with what's bolted onto it. All the bigger injectors, fuel pumps and air intakes in the world will not make your stock headed, stock peanut cammed B4C make real power. Remember also, when you do put together the heads cam, intake, exhaust and fuel system to make the power you want, you will be beating up on the stock rotating assembly and unprepared factory block. I never build a hot motor without first having a good machinist check, measure, align, balance and blueprint the block and rotating assembly and assemble the rods with good pistons. The $1000 you spend at the machine shop is worth a fortune of insurance every time you hit the 6,000+rpm rev limiter.
