starter removal

Can anyone tell me if the starter motor on my 92 gta will come out without dropping exhaust downpipes? Seems mighty tight to get out.

Yup; comes right out.

Nose down, solenoid toward the front IIRC.

You can loosen those pipes . Look on passenger's side firewall by the exhaust manifolds. There should be a bolt there clamping down the pipe.
