Finally a 350 swap
So I'm finally getting the money together to swap by the problem is I'm not sure which route to go 350 tbi....of course I need it to pass smog (California), 350 tpi 5.7 out of a 89' iroc, 350 5.7 lt1 from a 1996 caprice some feedback would be greatly appreciated

I would go with the 350 tpi and if you stick with tbi use 55#hr injectors and a anlu eprom.

The lt1 will take alot more work to get going and it has a odd cooling system and optispark. Unless you are going all out and dropping the tank for a higher pressure fuel pump have the harness and ecm for the Lt1 its a better engine but not worth all the work in my opinion you would be better off taking the next step and saving to do a ls swap.

Doesn't the tpi need a high psi fuel pump aswell.... That's the future plans but I would need the k member trams mout and doner car for all the rest ECM fuel line etc money pit list probably goes on lol like I said said future

the tpi would need a higher fuel pressure a delco ep241 pump, You would want to make sure it comes with a maf sensor.

The injectors on the tpi engine have been replaced so that is good the stock multec's are junk. If it doesnt I would look on ebay or here for a bosch one they are usually 50-80 used.
