Cold Air Intake Worth it...?
Alright So Ive been thinking about making my own cold air intake for my 4 barrel q-jet by buying one of those adapters from spectre and custom making the tubing so that it can suck "cold" air by putting the filter by where my bumper is......Would I really see a difference..?Is it worth the money...I am running a open air element right now.

This guy did a CAI the right way to his TBI.

You could consider doing something like this, as this is also how I will be routing mine. It'll be better than your open element for sure.

Re: Cold Air Intake Worth it...?
I agree that this is nice but as far as coming close to what a Open element with x-stream filter top is allowing air to the Carburetor/TBI unit there is no comparison. (Other than forced air/charger.)
The CAI obviously pulls cool air that is a benefit but how much of a benefit does it actually make HP wise over a Open air element like the one I posted.

This is mine that actually pulls cool air strait from the cowl opening.

Like on my car I already have that K&N open air element thing same thing with the Xstream air top thing...but now I just think I might just leave it alone and invest my money elsewhere.

You won't see any HP increase, or like feel any more power on the street. If that's what you were thinking.
