Smog Pump Mounting Question
Hi guys,
I have a question regarding the smog pump mounting. The car I have is an 88 IROC with the 350 engine. The pump was removed when I bought the car, but I am planning on taking the car back to stock due to emissions/ inspection for where I live.
I have the pump and the hoses and all the other components I need except the bolts to hold the pump in place. Does anyone know what size bolt I need to use?
One website said it was a 3/8" bolt with 16 threads per inch, and a length of 3.75" for the bottom bolt. I tried putting one on the bracket and it wouldnt screw into the threads. I didnt want to completely strip the threads in the bracket so I stopped.
Does anyone happen to still have these bolts? Or know the sizes or where I can buy the bolts from?
Any help is very appreciated!

Re: Smog Pump Mounting Question
Or better yet, Does anyone still have these two bolts that I could buy from them? I cannot find the size or bolt pattern anywhere....I looked at the alternator and it has Torx bolts, so would the smog pump bolts be torx too?

Yes, they are both torx bolts.. If i remember one is into the block thru the bracket and the other just goes into the bracket.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any idea where I could find these bolts? Any one on these forums who has taken off the pump and held onto the bolts?
